COUNCIL ACTIVITIES



	November: Parish Thanksgiving Dinner Each November, our Council helps the parish put on a Thanksgiving Dinner for our parish families.

December: Council Christmas Dinner We celebrate the birth of Christ a few weeks early with a Christmas Dinner for Council families...sometimes accompanied by a play!

	March: St. Patrick's Day Dinner Our Council takes the lead in preparing and serving a Corned Beef & Cabbage dinner for our parish.

February - April: Lenten Friday Fish Fry Each Friday in Lent we make great use of our new church hall and kitchen serving fish dinners. In 2023, we served 1,000 meals, earning over $8,000 for local charities.

February: Men's Retreat We sponsor a Men's Retreat for men on our parish and our neighboring council in Elberta. In 2024, it will be in our own parish hall on February 19th.

	May: Parish Picnic We've had fun helping with our annual parish picnic!

	Keep Christ in America Our council has trademarked the "One Nation, Under God...Keep Christ in America" logo. We currently offer this as a bumper sticker and may offer it on other products. See Keep Christ in America to order.

Special Special Olympics The Knights of Columbus present an annual check to the Snook YMCA Starfish for the Special Olympics. Accepting is Sissy Flanigan.

	Mary's Shelter Support Sir Knight Jim Thompson presents a check for $1000 to Jean Franz of Mary's Shelter. Mary's Shelter houses unmarried pregnant woman and young moms.

Knights Support KAIROS Frank Calma and Milt Lee present a check for $250 to fellow Knight Don Roth to support KAIROS in its ministry to men in prison. KAIROS is working with 42 inmates at Fountain Correctional Institute and 12 inmates on death row at Holman.
